About The Position

This role provides exceptional guest service in a fun, fast-paced office environment. The Mountain Activities Sales Senior Lesson Coordinator possesses a high level of knowledge for all lesson products, with an emphasis on Private Lesson sales, scheduling, and fulfillment. This role coordinates with all local hotels, travel agents, and concierge teams, as well as assists management with private lesson assignments and requests. The ability to sell all other winter product offerings such as Group Lessons, Lift Tickets, and Season Passes is also required. This position also requires the ability to offer exceptional customer service experience through in person interactions, phone calls, and emails.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-3 years of customer service experience, preferably with a background in skier service sales in Telluride.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interpret and relay procedures and policies.
  • Proficient in basic math for sales calculations and financial reconciliation.
  • Deep knowledge of resort pricing structures, skiing ability levels, equipment needs, and local area offerings.
  • Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
  • 21+ years of age.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Knowledge of reservation software; Exchange/Outlook Internet software; Excel Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Nice To Haves

  • 2-3 years of experience selling ski lessons, operating RTP POS, and Aspenware software.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and in-person interactions efficiently and courteously.
  • Coordinate lesson sales and fulfillment for local hotels, travel agents, and concierges.
  • Examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot resort POS operating systems including workstations, digital displays, receipt printers, ticket printers, pass printers, credit card key pads, telephones, cameras, and other misc. POS peripherals.
  • Provide high-level guest service with concierge-like professionalism, ensuring a memorable customer experience.
  • Facilitate needs of Ski & Snowboard School as it pertains to on-mountain real time issues.
  • Track sales, inventory, lesson details, and reporting for management to review.
  • Process and reconcile daily sales reports and deposits in accordance with company policies.
  • Handle customer disputes with diplomacy and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure seamless operations and communication.
  • Uphold safety and policy standards, including the Colorado Skier Safety Act and Skier Responsibility Code.
