Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Past work experience in the pattern lumber manufacturing process.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on safety, quality, and accountability.
  • Ability to work across multiple shifts as needed to support a two-shift operation.
  • Strong computer skills, including use of electronic order and reporting systems.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory experience in pattern lumber or finished lumber operations.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience directing maintenance activities.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in production reporting, downtime analysis, and maintenance planning.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day to day operations of the Moulder department, ensuring safety, quality, production, and customer expectations are consistently met.
  • Supervising employees, coordinating production schedules and shipments, ensuring safety training compliance, and working closely with Sales, Maintenance, and leadership to resolve quality and service issues.
  • Manage production and downtime reporting, maintenance planning, and electronic order systems to keep operations running efficiently and safely.
  • Lead and enforce safety training, audits, and accountability for all Moulder employees.
  • Supervise daily Moulder department operations including production, quality, housekeeping, organization, and maintenance.
  • Plan and manage Moulder run schedules and shipments.
  • Work closely with the Sales department to resolve customer quality and service concerns.
  • Ensure all quality standards are met and quality processes are followed.
  • Oversee production reports, downtime reports, time and attendance data entry, and administrative tasks.
  • Direct maintenance activities and preventative maintenance planning for Moulder equipment.
  • Maintain strong communication with Sales regarding orders, priorities, and special requests.
  • Lead, develop, and hold associates accountable to performance and safety expectations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Dry End Superintendent.
