About The Position

Motorhomes of Texas, a luxury motorhome dealership, is growing and in need of Service Technicians. We are looking for individuals with good mechanical ability to learn how to diagnose and repair RV systems and accessories. The technician plays a very important role in our business by providing excellent repair and maintenance services for luxury motorhomes. We are seeking candidates who are dedicated to and take pride in their work. We will train the right candidate; you bring the enthusiasm, character, drive, and desire to be successful!

Requirements

Experience with plumbing, woodwork or carpentry, mechanical and electrical work including 12V and 110V a plus
Good disposition and excellent attitude
Dependable, thorough and detail orientated.
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
Applicants should have some of their own tools.
Ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

Accurately diagnose electronic problems and determine how to correct them, checking wiring schematics, repair manuals, and part catalogs as necessary
Update system software and confirm functionality.
Perform proactive and emergency repair and maintenance on a variety of electronic audio-visual components.
OBD (On-Board Diagnostic) and CAN (Controller Area Network) tool use, experience, and understanding to troubleshoot system issues.
Install equipment and accessories such as stereos, navigation equipment, communication equipment, and satellite systems.
Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Motorhomes of Texas standards.
Accurately record time spent on repairs utilizing company time clock procedures.
Document work performed on the repair order and document test procedures/results.
Maintain an organized and clean workspace, completing a stall cleaning every day.
Ensure the customer’s motorhome is returned to them as clean as it was prior to service.
