About The Position

Harley-Davidson of Panama City Beach is seeking an ideal candidate who is friendly, presents a positive attitude, is energetic, self-motivated, can multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent communication and organization skills. The candidate should be someone who seeks to build strong relationships and deliver incomparable Guest service. This role involves repairing, customizing, maintaining, or overhauling both Guest and dealer-owned motorcycles as close to the allotted time schedule as possible with excellent quality. The technician will also assist the Service Writer with writing up work orders, communicating with Guests, test riding, or any other issue to ensure Guest satisfaction. They will be responsible for notifying the Service Writer/Manager of additional work needed or any delays in expected completion and ensuring proper completion and filing of paperwork after the job is finished. Maintaining a clean work area and assisting others with shop cleanliness is also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Meet requirements for manufacturer certifications in the areas of product knowledge and technology.
  • Excellent verbal & non-verbal skills, listening skills and ability to problem-solve.
  • Present a professional and well-groomed appearance.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Must have a valid US government issued Driver's License with motorcycle endorsement, safe driving record and eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to move 800lb motorcycles onto service lifts.
  • Technicians need to possess/obtain own set of tools.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screening and drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Repair, customize, maintain, or overhaul both Guest and dealer owned motorcycles as close to the allotted time schedule as possible with excellent quality.
  • Assist Service Writer, when requested, with writing up work orders, communication with Guests, test riding, or any other issue which will help ensure Guest satisfaction.
  • Notify Service Writer/Manager of additional work needed or any delays in expected completion as soon as they become known so that Guest may be contacted and notified of the delay.
  • After job is finished ensure proper completion and filing of paperwork.
  • Keep work areas as clean as possible and assist others with maintaining shop cleanliness.
