About The Position

This position is a Motor Vehicle Operator (Delivery Driver) assigned to Rockers Bar & Grill at Minot AFB, North Dakota. It is a flexible, intermittent position with no guaranteed hours; work may range from 0 to 40 hours per week as needed by the facility. The operator drives vehicles weighing up to approximately 10,000 pounds to deliver food and beverages to customers on and off the installation, while meeting management’s quality and timeliness standards. The role also supports order-taking, food preparation and service, cleaning, dishwashing, and cash handling.

Requirements

Possess a valid driver's license.
Successfully complete and receive favorable adjudication of an applicable Tier 1 background investigation.
Satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical.
Submit to random drug testing; this is a drug-testing-designated position.
Be able to work shift work.
Have skill maneuvering and driving vehicles weighing up to 10,000 pounds.
Have knowledge of defensive driving techniques and regulations.
Be able to follow simple oral instructions involving duties with several distinct tasks or steps.
Be physically able to frequently handle objects weighing up to 15 pounds and occasionally up to 20 pounds.
Be able to exert light physical effort reaching, bending, turning, and moving hands, feet, or legs to operate hand and foot controls.
Be able to work while exposed to high temperatures, hot surfaces, and cutting utensils.

Responsibilities

Operate a variety of motor vehicles weighing up to approximately 10,000 pounds to transport and deliver food and beverages to customers on and off the installation.
Ensure deliveries meet management’s quality standards, including delivering freshly prepared food at the appropriate temperature and in a timely manner.
Accept patron orders by telephone or fax, explain menu items and options, submit orders for preparation, and assemble orders for transport.
Select efficient delivery routes and consolidate multiple orders to support timely delivery.
Follow traffic laws and safety regulations.
Perform and document vehicle operator maintenance, including checking fluid levels and tire pressure and cleaning and washing vehicles.
Assist food service employees with preparing simple food items for delivery, carryout, or restaurant service.
Prepare vegetables, salads, and other food items by cleaning, cutting, chopping, and dicing.
Set up meal service items and cold menu items on preparation or serving lines.
Remove soiled dishes, trays, and utensils; clean tables, counters, floors, waste cans, and kitchen equipment.
Separate food waste and trash from dishes and utensils, operate a mechanical dishwasher, and return sanitized items to their original locations.
Ring up sales, maintain a separate cash drawer, accept payments, make change, and prepare end-of-shift cash reports.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
