About The Position

The Building People, LLC is seeking a qualified Motor Vehicle Operator (MVO) to provide safe, reliable transportation for senior federal executives in the Washington, DC Metro area. The MVO operates various types and classes of motor vehicles — including buses, trucks, vans, and shuttle vans — on scheduled or special runs between government facilities. This is an as-needed position that must be performed without government supervision or intervention and requires excellent driving skills, punctuality, and a strong commitment to customer service.

Responsibilities

• Operates various types and classes of motor vehicles, including buses, trucks, vans, and shuttle vans, on scheduled or special runs between government facilities.
• Verifies passengers against manifest.
• Completes all required paperwork, including trip tickets and fuel dispensing records.
• Adheres to all state, local, and installation traffic laws and ordinances.
• Maneuvers vehicles in and out of constricted areas, including narrow city streets and congested parking lots.
• Performs routine preventative maintenance checks on assigned vehicles.
• Maintains a professional appearance and courteous demeanor at all times.
• Reports all incidents and accidents promptly.
• Supports executive transportation needs during and outside of standard business hours.
