Iowa State University is seeking a Motor Vehicle Operator II to work as a delivery driver within the Central Receiving operation. Central Receiving provides a single-point delivery network for the ISU campus, receiving, tracking, and redistributing university-funded materials to ISU departments. This position is responsible for the daily delivery of packages, palletized goods, and equipment to the Iowa State University community. It is a physical position involving climbing stairs and lifting/carrying packages daily, with the ability to lift up to 100 lbs. The role requires sound judgment, a sense of urgency, and high-level customer service. When not driving, the individual will perform as a laborer in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The successful candidate must be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions, possess knowledge of hazards and safety precautions related to warehousing and delivery work, be capable of performing heavy manual labor, and work in varying weather conditions.
