Systems Application & Technologies, Inc. (SA-TECH) is seeking a Motor Vehicle Mechanic (MVM) on a temporary basis to cover a period of disability leave for one of their mechanics. In this role, the MVM will be responsible for a full range of field and sustainment level automotive/mechanical repair tasks on Army tactical and commercial vehicles, including material handling equipment (MHE). Repairs must adhere to Army 10/20 standards, applicable Technical Manuals, Safety of Use Messages (SOUMs), Material Work Orders (MWOs), local directives, drawings, and established trade techniques. The MVM will perform maintenance services, including inspection, testing, modification, and overhaul of automotive and MHE equipment, applying practical knowledge of equipment operation and component installation. Work will be performed in accordance with Army technical manuals and/or similar commercial published procedures, within specified timeframes outlined in Maintenance Allocation Charts (MACs). The MVM will ensure all identified faults and required service actions are completed before submission to Quality Control (QC) for final inspection, and will perform in-process inspections, conduct causative research using technical manuals, and document findings. Duties include removal, installation, modification, cleaning, adjusting, and repair of major automotive assemblies according to general support and limited depot-level repair actions as authorized in Army Regulation 750-1. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
