About The Position
Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) is seeking a Motor Vehicle Mechanic Helper to work on-site in Fort Hood, Texas. The role involves assisting with vehicle and shop upkeep, including cleaning and lubricating vehicles, handling automotive parts and supplies, and maintaining work areas. The position is contingent upon funding; selected applicants may receive an offer but cannot begin work until funding is confirmed.
Requirements
- Basic maintenance experience.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background screening.
- Ability to receive a favorable TIER-1 Investigation.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of U.S. Army maintenance procedures and AR 750-1.
- U.S. Army 91-series MOS qualification or civilian equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Commercial driver's license with passenger endorsement.
