About The Position

The Repair Technician repairs equipment to Christie Lites standards. This role involves diagnosing and fixing issues with Christie Lites rental equipment, including repairing electrical and mechanical faults in lighting, control, and special effects products, as well as ancillary equipment like main distribution and networking. The technician will also be responsible for modifying and upgrading ORPL equipment, recording all repairs, ordering parts, and performing preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

Repairing electrical and/or mechanical faults in Lighting, Control and Special FX products including ancillary equipment such as main distribution and networking.
Limiting the electronic repairs to circuit board level.
Modifying and upgrading ORPL equipment to CL standards as specified in CL Technotes.
Recording all repairs in Repair Tracking Systems.
Placing Parts orders when not in stock.
Carrying out preventative maintenance as outlined in the Service Reference Guide.
Ensuring all tools and supplies are returned to proper storage areas at the end of shift.
Ensuring equipment waiting for repair is stored in an organized and tidy manner.
Cleaning workstation and common areas as assigned.
Removing recycling and waste to designated disposal areas.
Informing Department Head of low stocks of supplies.
