About The Position

As a Motioneer, you will be part of a team that serves to evaluate and provide solutions for the many extraordinary requests that come into our company. A Motioneer will be cross trained on multiple electro-mechanical disciplines and technologies to evaluate new technologies and their application to potential markets. This team will interact with our Sales, Product Management, and Engineering teams to help develop those solutions for our customers. This team will act as a “conduit” between our highly trained mechanical, fluids, and electrical engineering teams to ensure projects start on the right path. Travel may be required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field is preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Electrical, mechanical technical, or vocational training is a plus.
  • 0-5 years of automation industry experience.
  • Strong background in mechatronics and motion controls.

Responsibilities

  • Work in conjunction with the sales team to find mechanical application opportunities.
  • Apply mathematical and engineering principles and methods to design.
  • Utilizes CAD software and other design and modeling tools to plan, develop, and communicate conceptual designs and specifications to stakeholders.
  • Develop electro-mechanical, proposals and quotations for general automation, aerospace, automotive and various other market segments.
  • Generate a bill of materials (BOM) for each project based on sizing and selection of components.
  • Coordinate design review meetings between the customer, sales, mechanical engineering and engineering groups.
  • Build and maintain a business relationship with clients by providing prompt and accurate service to promote customer loyalty.
  • Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Foster a positive team environment by assisting co-workers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
