About The Position

Dynamic Integrated Services (DIS) is a proud Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business based in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area providing management consulting services to federal agencies and organizations supporting the public sector. DIS is currently seeking a Motion Graphics Designer to join our Design and Digital Services practice. The right individual has a strong background in creating engaging, visually compelling motion graphics, animations, and video content in support of marketing, communications, or outreach campaigns. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for design with expert skills in video editing, typography, and composition. The ideal candidate can also brainstorm and present original ideas and has experience collaborating in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Visual or Fine Arts, Photography, Communications, Media, or related field at a minimum
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in motion graphics, multimedia, or video design working for a Creative Agency, PR/Marketing Agency, communications and marketing practice, government and/or government contractor, or non-profit
  • Excellent samples of work must be available electronically for review
  • Skilled use of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator (at a minimum), in support of multimedia deliverables
  • Multimedia video experience: perform technical pre-production, post-production, and editorial functions for video, including processing, delivery, and archiving; importing, rough cuts, graphic design & compositing, audio sweetening, color correction, final cut, and final delivery (including web-based channels such as Twitter, YouTube, and Vimeo).
  • Skilled use of video production software applications included in the most current version of Adobe Creative Suite, including but not limited to Premiere, After Effects, and Audition or equivalent NLE, motion graphics, and audio engineering software.
  • Strong graphic design skills and the ability to design and develop in multiple print and digital mediums
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to develop, design, and/or format reports, create templates, infographics, and diagrams
  • Strong understanding of typography, composition, color, storytelling, and aligning new materials to existing brand guidelines
  • Section 508 compliance expertise related to video (experience in applying general principles, creating captions, and developing and delivering audio descriptions)
  • Strong oral communication and presentation skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
  • Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to work in a team setting or independently
  • Ability to organize, coordinate, and deliver multiple complex projects/priorities and keep them on deadline
  • Strong work ethic with a commitment to client service excellence

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with delivery teams under the supervision of a senior designer or project manager to conceptualize, design, and produce motion graphics, animations, and video content for digital and social platforms (e.g. explainer and educational videos, kinetic typography, animation (healthcare-related concepts, infographics, characters, diagrams, callouts), motion graphics, montage, b-roll, whiteboard, etc.).
  • Act as a visual storyteller, offering creative solutions based on written and visual content, scripts, or input from stakeholders.
  • Edit and enhance video content with motion graphics, titles, lower-thirds, transitions, and visual effects.
  • Generate creative and original ideas for reaching and engaging target audiences and communicating key messages.
  • Brainstorm, create, and present design solutions to clients and/or delivery teams via mood boards, storyboards, or other concept presentation techniques.
  • Under supervision, guide products from inception to completion, ensuring quality control and consistency on final projects.
  • Ensure adherence to accessibility laws prior to client delivery (including, but not limited to, 508 compliance).
  • Ensure consistent branding on all materials prior to client delivery.
  • Optimize graphics and animations for different platforms (web, broadcast, social media, presentations, etc.).
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines with high-quality results.
  • Think critically and apply customer and industry insight to solve client problems creatively and quickly.
