About The Position

Yaskawa America, Inc. is seeking a Motion Applications Engineer - Custom CNC Machine Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will provide CNC technical expertise and know-how to assist customers in the use of Yaskawa products and services to improve their application and processes. You will work closely with the sales team to develop customer relationships, foster value-added growth opportunities, and enhance the utilization of Yaskawa products and services. You will also provide product, application, and process knowledge for projects and solutions from concept to completion.

Requirements

• CNC design knowledge and experience
• BS degree in electrical, mechanical, computer or mechatronics engineering with emphasis in controls or machines.
• 3 to 5 years of experience involving Machine Tool design, tooling, user interface.
• Experience with at least one CNC manufacturing process is required, such as milling, routing, turning, plasma cutting, waterjet or laser cutting.
• Software Knowledge and exposure to G-code programming, CAD/CAM software suites such as Fusion is required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience programming PLCs (ladder logic, IEC61131-3)
• Programming motion control systems
• Developing User Interfaces
• Experience developing software (C#; Windows WPF; tools such as IDEs, programmer’s editors, source control and issue tracking systems) is beneficial.
