About The Position

The Motion and Graphic Designer at Air Canada Vacations will specialize in the creation of various animation and video editing projects. This person will design various graphic elements for animations, as well as produce static graphics. They work closely with the Senior Designer and the creative, marketing and e-commerce departments. They adapt and animate advertising concepts while respecting the company's brand image and the artistic direction of the campaign. They are responsible for producing all types of animated visuals, such as video ads for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Google, TikTok, outdoor animated murals, TV ads, animated banners for our various websites, HTML5 animated banners, and more. Candidates must submit their application along with a “real” portfolio or a portfolio containing examples of animated work. This submission is mandatory for the application to be considered.

Requirements

  • College or university diploma in animation or graphic design
  • Professional experience as a motion designer.
  • Proficiency in After Effects and/or Premiere animation software
  • Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop and other Adobe CC software
  • Mac environment
  • Bilingual (French and English), both spoken and written
  • Initiative and creativity
  • Judgment and professionalism
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, analytical sense
  • Highly developed organizational skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Team spirit and ability to provide positive leadership

Responsibilities

  • Create and edit videos and animations for different channels (ads, social networks, websites).
  • Adapt the artistic direction of advertising campaigns into different animated pieces.
  • Respond to creative specifications by providing proactive animated solutions through effective collaboration with the marketing team and creative department.
  • Produce various non-animated design projects (e.g. static banners).
  • Manage priorities and work independently.
  • Proofread and revise projects to produce accurate, high-quality final work.
  • Responsible for quality and accuracy of content, ensuring proper sign-off and final approvals.
  • Monitor emerging technologies in animation and design.
