About The Position

A family is seeking a Part-Time Mother's Helper to support their home and care for their infant son. This role involves approximately half infant care and half light household support, such as laundry, dishes, kitchen resets, and general tidying. The family has weekly housekeepers, so this is not a deep housekeeping position. They are looking for someone who naturally notices what needs to be done and enjoys pitching in wherever needed. Both parents are actively involved in their son's care, with Mom home throughout the day and Dad working from home part of the week. The ideal candidate is comfortable working collaboratively in a shared-care environment. The family seeks someone with a positive attitude, strong infant experience, and a flexible, team-oriented mindset. The schedule guarantees 24 hours per week, typically Monday through Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with an option to add Fridays. The family hopes to hire as soon as they find the right fit.

Requirements

Infant CPR and First Aid certification.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Comfortable working in a fragrance-free home.
Willingness to provide occasional overnight care and travel with advance notice.
Outstanding professional references.

Responsibilities

Provide attentive, nurturing care for an infant.
Follow established feeding, nap, and developmental routines.
Support the transition to solid foods using age-appropriate feeding practices.
Prepare bottles and assist with feeding throughout the day.
Engage the baby in developmentally appropriate play and activities.
Complete baby-related laundry and maintain organized nursery spaces.
Assist with daily household resets, including dishes, light kitchen cleanup, and tidying common areas.
Help prepare fruits, vegetables, and simple meal components as needed.
Collaborate with parents to create a calm, organized household environment.
Occasionally assist with travel, overnights, or visits to the family's second home with advance notice.
Comfortable interacting with and occasionally walking the family's friendly Mini Australian Shepherd is a plus.
