This is a combined role of unit coordinator and PCA (Patient Care Assistant). The position requires working a minimum of one major summer holiday and one major winter holiday, as well as every other weekend. Under the direction of a registered/licensed nurse (RN), the Care Coordinator is a member of the interdisciplinary health care team and assists in clinical support functions to promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment. The role involves performing patient care-related duties and clinical functions, ensuring patient rooms are stocked and clean, performing specimen collection, retrieving and cleaning equipment, documenting patient information, assisting patients with meals, and communicating effectively with nursing staff. The role also includes receiving and directing medical staff, personnel, patients, and visitors.
