About The Position
The Mother Baby Unit at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies is seeking an experienced Mother Baby Registered Nurse for a part-time, nights position. The mission of the unit is to provide the highest quality of care for mothers and newborn infants, from admission to discharge, through multifaceted collaboration of professional disciplines. The vision is to be a team of professionals dedicated to the care and nurturing of mothers, their newborn infants, and their families in a breastfeeding-friendly environment, utilizing best demonstrated care practices, current technology, and environmental design. The hospital, Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies, opened in 2006 and focuses on the unique needs of women and newborns, offering specialized care in gynecology, obstetrics, and high-risk pregnancies. It is "Magnet" recognized for nursing excellence and certified in perinatal care. Welcoming nearly 14,000 babies annually, it has one of the largest neonatal intensive care units in the country.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and unit/department.
- Maintains current State of Florida RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license.
- Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
- Two (2) years of hospital acute care nursing experience with postpartum/mother baby care is required.
Nice To Haves
- ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas. NRP required for Neonatal Intensive care Unit (NICU).
