Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies, located on the downtown Orlando campus, opened in 2006 and focuses on the unique needs of women and newborns. It offers specialized care for women's health, including gynecology, minimally invasive surgeries, obstetrics, and high-risk pregnancies. The hospital is recognized for nursing excellence and high-quality patient care, holding "Magnet" recognition and certification in perinatal care. Welcoming nearly 14,000 babies annually, it has 350 beds, including 142 neonatal intensive care beds, making it one of the largest NICUs in the country. As a sister hospital to Orlando Health Arnold Palmer for Children, it was recognized in U.S. News & World Report's "Best Children’s Hospitals" rankings for Neonatology. The mission of the Mother Baby Units is to provide the highest quality of care for mothers and newborns through interdisciplinary collaboration.
