About The Position

The Mother Baby Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. This role involves providing direct patient care within the scope of practice, directing and guiding patient/family teaching, and overseeing the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Birthplace. The nurse must be able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and/or response to treatment, and ensure a safe environment for patients and visitors. They will utilize the chain of command when necessary to ensure patient well-being and appropriateness of care for newborns and mothers during the antepartum and postpartum periods.

Requirements

Current and valid state RN license
BLS certification within 30 days and maintain current
NRP certification within 90 days and maintain current
Basic Fetal Monitoring upon hire within 60 days of hire and maintain current

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred
