About The Position

The Mortuary Transporter will complete and assist in the removal and transport of the deceased to the funeral home. This is a part-time, non-exempt hourly position.

Requirements

• Ability to lift 100+ pounds safely.
• Excellent customer service skills and respect towards families.
• Clean Driving record/to be approved by Insurance Company

• Willingness and ability to work night shift and/or be on call.
• Weekend availability
• Ability to commute/relocate: Beaufort, SC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
• Willingness to travel: 50% (Required)

Responsibilities

• Completing or assisting in removal of descendants from hospitals, coroner offices, convalescent homes and residences.
• Performs verification of the deceased and reviews required documentation.
• Ability to properly fill out paperwork as assigned by the funeral home for removal of the deceased.
• Assist funeral directors as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by the location manager
