We are currently seeking an On-Call Mortuary Transport Specialist to join our esteemed partner funeral home in Savannah, GA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the respectful care, removal, and transport of the deceased from the place of passing to the appropriate facility. This is a hands-on position that offers the opportunity to work closely with our dedicated team, providing essential services during times of need. Requirements

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Excellent physical fitness, capable of lifting and pushing/pulling weights exceeding 300 pounds with a partner
Flexibility to work a rotating schedule: 5 days on followed by 2 days off
Ability to drive safely in various traffic and weather conditions
Strong professional communication and customer service skills
Basic computer proficiency

Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Responsibilities

Completing or assisting in removal of descendants from hospitals, coroner offices, convalescent homes and residences.
Performs verification of the deceased and reviews required documentation.
Ability to lift 100+ pounds safely.
Excellent customer service skills and respect towards families.
Ability to properly fill out paperwork as assigned by the funeral home for removal of the deceased.
Willingness and ability to work night shift and/or be on call.
Assist funeral directors as needed.
Clean Driving record/to be approved by Insurance Company
Other duties as assigned by the location manager
