About The Position
Our Mortgage Underwriters eagerly assist mortgage lending by reviewing, evaluating, and decisioning mortgage loans. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, with a schedule of Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The role is located at 5151 S 400 E, Washington Terrace, UT 84405.
Requirements
- A two-year college degree, or completion of specialized certification or licensing
- 5+ years of prior direct mortgage underwriting experience
- Delegated with FHA, VA and Rural Housing

Responsibilities
- Cultivate and effectively manage long-term, trusting relationships.
- Evaluate mortgage loan information to determine if loans meet credit union and agency standards.
- Decision loans based on credit union guidelines and policies.
- Communicate status of loans to mortgage loan officer and processor.
- Comply with all regulations as required by law.
- Actively participate in continuing education related to credit union career development.
