Sunflower Bank, N.A. is looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the position of a full-time Mortgage Secondary Marketing Manager at our Plano, TX location. The primary function of the Secondary Marketing/Product Manager is to administer all retail secondary market duties, mortgage system and lock desk administration, timely reporting routines, mortgage product development, project management and secondary marketing initiatives. This includes development and implementation of daily pricing of all mortgage products, pipeline management, interest rate risk management and best execution, hedging and executing trades, extensions and pair-offs, and loan delivery. Acts as a primary liaison to investors and maintains a favorable relationship. This position is a working manager position who supervises a team within the Secondary Marketing department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related equivalent
  • 7+ years of secondary marketing experience
  • Deep understanding of mortgage products, secondary market operations, investor guidelines, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in analyzing market data, financial modeling, and using pricing software.
  • Familiarity with loan origination systems (LOS), product pricing engines (PPE), and other industry software. Experience with scripting and administering Optimal Blue preferred.
  • Working knowledge and mastery of contemporary and traditional marketing media
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to organize, multi-task, work independently on multiple projects and meet deadlines with accuracy and dependability
  • Skilled in accurately defining challenges/problems, collecting data and interpreting information
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply compliance law and regulations
  • Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and desktop publishing
  • Exceptional attention to detail and proofreading skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Secondary Marketing aspects of the Lock Desk Functions:
  • Implements strategies to achieve goals assigned to the department as established for the division’s annual plan; assists in the development of the annual budget for the department and division and adheres to budget parameters.
  • Pipeline Management:
  • Reviews overall volume by investor/product and performs competitive analysis to recommend and update margin and product changes.
  • Manage the loan sale process and pooling process
  • Lead Mortgage Product Development and Management:
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and identify ways to improve on overall Secondary Marketing execution.
  • Lead projects as needed
  • Maintains a good working relationship with all bank employees. Demonstrates the ability to work independently. Works as a team player to contribute to the success of the department and in turn the organization.
  • Directly Supervises and Leads Assigned Personnel:
  • Assists in the selection of new personnel as appropriate.
  • Proper orientation and training of new personnel.
  • Organized schedules, and delegates work among assigned personnel.
  • Reviews employee performance and provides 1:1 coaching for improved performance and career development.
  • Perform the job in accordance with applicable industry laws and regulations as well as the policies and procedures established by the company.
  • Responsible for upholding Fair and Responsible Banking practices and Code of Ethics and Conduct guidelines.
  • Understand and participate in the Bank’s Community Reinvestment Act program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
