About The Position

Servus Credit Union is seeking a passionate and values-driven Mortgage Professional for the Edmonton area. As a mobile sales role, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing new mortgage opportunities through realtors, builders, renovation companies, associations, and groups within an assigned territory. This role requires expert knowledge in mortgages and technical expertise in delivering all mortgage-related products and services, including High Ratio Mortgages, Conventional Financing, Construction, and Home Equity Line of Credit Mortgages. Requirements

  • A network of connections with referral sources (ex. Realtors, Builders)
  • 5 years of proven experience with prospecting, sales, negotiation, and relationship development
  • Strong mortgage lending and underwriting experience
  • Professional experience in business development with previous sales experience required
  • Flexible work hours including evenings and weekends as required, including open houses and trade shows.
  • Must live in the Edmonton Region.
  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check, reference check and credit check.

Responsibilities

  • Develop quality mortgage opportunities through realtors, builders, renovation companies, associations, and groups to obtain new mortgage opportunities for Servus within an assigned territory.
  • Utilize expert knowledge in mortgages and apply technical expertise in the delivery of all mortgage related products/service, including High Ratio Mortgages, Conventional Financing, Construction, and Home Equity Line of Credit Mortgages.
  • Present a professional, confident, and informed demeanor that appropriately represents the Servus Brand and Values.
  • Conduct a regular site call program to provide dealers with information and education on Servus’ products and services to develop increased application volume.
  • Regularly attend referral network meetings – showcase yourself and Servus as an excellent partner for their purchasers.
  • Prepare, complete, and submit mortgage applications through Credit Path and/or Filogix, as required.
  • Facilitate the transition of a mortgage approval through to funding.
  • Identify and prioritize suitable prospects to effectively develop and implement a value-added Business Development Strategy to acquire new referral relationships.
