About The Position

The Mortgage Production Manager serves as a key liaison between the sales team and operations, verifying loan files are properly structured, accurately documented, and compliant before entering the loan process. This position provides daily guidance, review, and coaching to sales staff to promote efficiency, quality, and speed to approval while maintaining regulatory and company standards. The Mortgage Production Manager reports to the Mortgage Division President and provides excellent service and support to team members and customers while demonstrating the Company’s values and supporting the mission.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 5 years of experience in mortgage lending, loan operations, or sales support
  • Strong knowledge of loan setup, documentation requirements, and approval workflows
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and other standard software applications
  • Proficient with loan origination systems (LOS)
  • Knowledge of mortgage regulations (TRID, RESPA, ECOA, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of loan setup, documentation requirements, and approval workflows
  • Ability to mentor and train others
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while accomplishing daily tasks

Responsibilities

  • Guide and support the mortgage sales team regarding proper setup, structuring, and submission of loan files
  • Support onboarding and ongoing development of sales team members
  • Lead, mentor, and coach the sales team on proper loan setup, structuring, and submission standards
  • Serve as the primary point of escalation for complex loan scenarios, guideline interpretation, and approval challenges
  • Review incoming loan files to verify accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance prior to processing
  • Serve as an escalation point for sales questions related to guidelines, documentation, and loan eligibility
  • Confirm files are submitted timely and meet internal quality standards to support fast and efficient turn times
  • Partner with processing, underwriting, and compliance teams to resolve issues and prevent delays
  • Identify trends or recurring issues and provide coaching and training to improve sales performance and file quality
  • Monitor pipeline activity and proactively address potential bottlenecks
  • Assist leadership with process improvements focused on speed, efficiency, and compliance
  • Verify adherence to all federal, state, and investor guidelines and company policies
  • Establish and reinforce clear expectations for file quality, documentation, and timelines
  • Influence sales behavior by proactively identifying risks, trends, and gaps in file quality and addressing them through coaching and training
  • Partner with sales leadership to drive accountability, performance consistency, and continuous improvement
  • Champion a culture of ownership, urgency, and compliance throughout the sales organization
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional associations
  • Attend training as requested
  • Adhere to compliance with all federal bank regulations and laws, including those for consumer protection and the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Program
  • Participate in outside community activities as required
