What the Department Does Handles final mortgage documents (recorded mortgages, title policies, assignments). Gets documents from government offices, uploads them into the system. Offshore team audits them — if issues are found, they’re flagged; if correct, they’re updated in the system. Works with investors (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae, etc.) and custodians (like Wilmington Trust) to ensure documents are properly transmitted. Daily Workflow Receive docs from the Mail Team (via inbox). Upload docs to a shared G Drive folder. Retrieve docs from G Drive, print with headers, check readability (signatures visible, nothing faded). Save and upload into another folder/system for investor review. Print batches (10–30 docs daily), prepare transmittals, and send to custodian. Update system with notes confirming docs were sent. Accuracy is critical — wrong loan numbers or unreadable docs can cause compliance issues. Candidate Profile Must-Haves: Mortgage document or operations experience. Attention to detail, multitasking, communication skills. Ambition and willingness to grow with M&T. Reliability and commitment (longevity on resume is important). Nice-to-Haves: Experience with final title policies, assignments of mortgage, or recorded mortgage docs. Ability to handle high-volume, repetitive tasks without getting overwhelmed. Expectations The role can feel overwhelming at first — candidates should be prepared for that and not quit early. Manager is easygoing but expects high standards. Overtime is available but not mandatory. Potential contract-to-hire depending on performance. Future flexibility: once trained and if they move into the email box team, they may get 1 day/week remote — but printing tasks must stay on-site. Interview Process In-office interviews only.
