About The Position

A Post Closing Specialist will report to, and work hand in hand with, the Post Closing Manager as well as third party title/closing attorneys, investors, and warehouse banks to ensure final loan documents are received and sent in a timely manner. Individual needs to be highly detail oriented, have strong organization skills, and communication skills. Responsibilities will be diverse as they will include aspects of the closing and post-closing cycle, as well as capital markets exposure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or 1+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong experience with Outlook, Word, and Excel and proficient experience with PowerPoint
  • Exceptional time management, prioritization and organizational skills
  • Closing, Post-Closing, or Loan funding experience is a plus
  • Excellent organization skills; adaptability and flexibility to changing situations; comfortable working in a dynamic, high volume, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to coordinate multiple closings across different counterparties simultaneously
  • Must work well both independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Closing, Post-Closing, or Loan funding experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Achieve proficiency in Lima One’s loan software and database systems
  • Review documents for accuracy
  • File and maintain large quantities of documents for quick reference
  • Effectively communicate with investors, lenders, and warehouse banks during loan sales
  • Assist in shipping loan documents to investors upon initial sale of loan
  • Clear collateral exceptions delivered by third party custodian
  • Create Allonges and Assignments necessary for loan financing
  • Manage collateral shipments to and from various third parties
  • Manage, identify, and correct document errors, working with various third parties to come to a solution
  • Deliver final trailing docs to multiple end investors in a timely manner
  • Complete lien releases within state compliance requirements
  • Ability to analyze and identify legal description discrepancies within documents and on county websites
  • Ability to manage and communicate with vendors for trailing and lien release procedures
  • Effectively communicate with borrowers, investors, and servicing team on issues such as lot splits, CEMA requests, and title issues
  • There may be other duties as assigned.
