Mortgage Loan Production Assistant - Lake Area Mortgage
About The Position
Lake Area Mortgage, a division of Royal Credit Union, is seeking a detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Production Assistant. This role supports Mortgage Loan Officers in the origination and processing of residential mortgage loans, prepares loan application packages, and provides exceptional service to Members and partners. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred to support a diverse member base. Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- One (1) year of related experience working in a financial institution or other related sales/customer service position
- Must be bondable upon hire
- Valid Driver’s License and insured vehicle
- Working knowledge of financial services, mortgage origination, and processing, including understanding loan programs, guidelines, and Downpayment Assistance Programs.
- Strong sense of Member service, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to build professional relationships with Members, Realtors, and building professionals.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; able to coordinate multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and manage a high-volume workload.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills to make decisions regarding complex daily work, resolve recurring problems, and ensure compliance with policies.
- Proficient in using computers and various software packages; able to learn new technologies and adapt to changing processes and priorities.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in Mortgage Origination or Processing
- Bi-Lingual (Spanish/English) communication skills, including interpreter
Responsibilities
- Assist assigned Lake Area Mortgage Loan Officer in the origination of residential mortgage loans.
- Prepare loan application packages and necessary documentation as determined by the Lake Area Mortgage Loan Officer.
- Convey policies for extension of credit in accordance with Credit Union and secondary investor guidelines.
- Meet Mortgage Loan scheduling and documentation requirements, and production expectations as determined by the Lake Area Mortgage Sales Supervisor.
