About The Position

Solicits new business and expands the business of current customers by selling the Bank’s mortgage financing capability. Develops relationships with attorneys, developers and real estate brokers to generate new mortgage business. Handles complex mortgages that involve significant sums of money.

Requirements

  • Previous mortgage lending experience with portfolio
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing to explain detailed lending concepts to a diverse customer base.
  • Must have and maintain or be eligible for NMLS registration.
  • Working knowledge of a wide range of lending procedures and products
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Officer and Loan Origination software

Nice To Haves

  • college degree preferred
  • Experience with Encompass preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ability to inform, educate and influence team members to support corporate goals.
  • Completion of loan applications in compliance with Federal Fair Lending Laws as well as secondary and Bank Five lending guidelines, collects appraisal fees and borrower documentation.
  • Establishing a customer and referral base for the purpose of originating residential mortgage loans and maintains records for the same.
  • Maintains a working relationship with Realtors, Attorneys Builders etc.
  • Communicates to Realtors and applicants the Banks loan products and programs as well as recommending products for the same.
  • Resolves problems as they arrive during the application process.
  • Follows Bank procedures in following the banks requirements of documenting and submitting loans in a timely manner and in accordance with TRID guidelines.
  • Arranges work schedule to accommodate borrowers needs which may include evening and weekend appointments.
  • Attends outside functions to increase business development (i.e. Realtor Meetings, Home Shows, Open Housing, Homebuyer Seminars etc.).
  • Participates in local community and civic organizations on behalf of the Bank in order to foster a positive image in the community it serves.
  • Attends sales meetings as required.
  • Assists with the implementation and communication of new programs and guideline changes.
  • Accountable for production goals as set by management.
  • Pricing and locking loans per Bank procedures.
  • Review of production reports as it relates to performance dates, rate lock dates and borrower needs.
  • Weekly pipeline meetings with their assigned processor.
