Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent along with mortgage lending experience.
Must have either two years of mortgage loan origination experience utilizing technology and digital loan documentation processes.
Internal candidates, one year of mortgage experience at Royal or another financial institution.
NMLS Certification is required.
Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and convert sales opportunities while building strong relationships with existing and prospective Members, Realtors, builders, and community partners.
Strong lead generation, networking, prospecting, and outbound business development skills are essential.
Strong mortgage lending and financial services knowledge, including familiarity with online banking platforms, loan origination software, lending guidelines, and digital solutions.
Ability to educate Members on products and services while recognizing opportunities to recommend additional solutions.
Exceptional communication, interviewing, listening, and customer service skills with the ability to effectively present information, ask insightful questions, address concerns proactively, and create an outstanding Member experience in a fast-paced environment.
Proven analytical, critical thinking, decision-making, and organizational abilities.
Capable of evaluating complex information, solving problems, producing accurate and high-quality work, prioritizing competing responsibilities, managing time effectively, and adapting to change while consistently meeting performance expectations.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or Management.
Five (5) years of Mortgage Loan Origination related experience.
Royal Credit Union experience.
Sales experience with growing and developing sales strategies.

Responsibilities

Responsible for origination of residential mortgage loans as well as lot, construction, and bridge loans.
Conducts initial pre-qualification interviews and prepares complete loan application packages and necessary documentation.
Convey policies for extension of credit in accordance with Credit Union and secondary investor guidelines.
Meet Mortgage Loan scheduling and documentation requirements, and production expectations as determined by the Regional Mortgage Sales Manager.
Establish prospective relationships outside the office as well as serving existing Members, builders, developers, and Realtors promptly and professionally.
