About the Role We are seeking an experienced and motivated Mortgage Loan Officer to join our Residential Lending team. This role is responsible for originating residential loan applications primarily sourced through internal bank referrals, supporting branch staff with mortgage-related inquiries, and guiding customers through the mortgage process. You'll play a critical role in helping Rosedale Bank achieve its strategic lending goals and deliver exceptional service.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • 3+ years of residential lending experience
  • Active NMLS license required
  • Extensive knowledge of residential loan origination activities and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, loan origination software, and CRM tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or college coursework preferred
  • sales experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with Encompass LOS preferred

Responsibilities

  • Originate and manage mortgage loan referrals generated through retail branches, marketing campaigns, and other internal sources.
  • Build strong relationships with branch staff, educate them on mortgage offerings, and provide sales and service techniques.
  • Conduct borrower consultations to assess financial needs, evaluate risk, and recommend appropriate loan products.
  • Guide customers through the mortgage process from application to closing, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
  • Maintain and manage a pipeline of active loans and accurate records using CRM and loan origination systems.
  • Proactively generate new mortgage business through networking, community involvement, and outreach efforts.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly loan production goals.
  • Perform consumer loan, home equity line of credit, and home equity loan settlements.
  • Cross-promote other Bank products and services as needed.
