About The Position
Texell, named one of the BEST credit unions to work for in the NATION by American Banker, is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer! This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your mortgage lending knowledge and skills to help our members achieve their dream of home ownership. The mortgage industry is tough and not for everyone, so be prepared for good days and bad days. Resiliency is a must in this position to be successful. As a Mortgage Loan Officer, you will perform a wide range of duties relating to the origination of residential mortgage loans. You will maintain knowledge of and advise applicants on available loan products, processing procedures, and underwriting guidelines. You will also meet standards and objectives defined by management for mortgage loan sales and cross-sells other Credit Union products. Work with a team who values people over money. We DO NOT turn away loans based off their size. Maintain high levels of customer service while managing each applicant, vendor, and department expectations. Establish and maintain professional partnerships with realtors and others within the community which benefits the Credit Union.
Requirements
- Have a bachelor’s degree in business or related field and/or 2 years of progressive experience in lending related positions.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Be able to demonstrate strong resiliency.
