Mortgage Loan Officer (NMLS Licensed) - Inhouse
About The Position
FocusOne is located in the Jersey Village/Cypress Area and is seeking experienced licensed loan officers. A key advantage of working at FocusOne Mortgage Solutions is access to leads from our Credit Union Partners, though bringing your own leads is also encouraged. We handle a variety of loans, including portfolios, brokers, FNMA, and Government Loans. FocusOne Mortgage Solutions is licensed in Texas, Missouri, Illinois, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Ohio, with plans for further expansion. We are looking for self-starting Licensed Loan Officers who are passionate about assisting customers with purchasing their first home, upgrading their current home, or finding their ideal residence.
Requirements
- NMLS license is required; if one has no NMLS license, one must obtain one within 90 days of employment.
- Strong customer service and phone skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Responsibilities
- Responds to customer inquiries and referrals generated from personal contacts and FocusOne Mortgage Solutions' business channels.
- Interviews prospective borrowers to analyze financial and credit data.
- Determines customer financing objectives.
- Advises customers on product/pricing policies and guidelines.
- Gathers any additional required information.
- Maintains a thorough knowledge of lending programs, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrates a commitment to professional ethics, complying with all Federal and State compliance policies and adhering to HMDA requirements.
- Develops and maintains successful relationships with business referral sources, existing and prospective customers, and FocusOne Mortgage Solutions business partners.
- Prospects for new mortgage lending opportunities.
- Meets with customers as necessary during various stages of the loan process.
- Utilizes training materials, reference tools, and other resources to provide accurate and up-to-date loan program/policy information.
- Provides complete loan applications to be put into processing.
- Ensures an exceptional customer experience by overseeing the loan process from origination to close and providing ongoing communication to customers and business partners.
- Oversees and ensures the successful completion of all assigned Mortgage Loan Officer Training activities.
