About The Position

United Trust Bank is seeking an experienced and motivated Purchase Referral Loan Officer to join our growing mortgage sales team. This position is ideal for a relationship-driven mortgage professional who thrives on helping homebuyers achieve their homeownership goals while building and maintaining a strong referral network. As a Purchase Referral Loan Officer, you will originate residential mortgage loans through referral relationships, past clients, builders, financial advisors, attorneys, and other business partners. You'll have access to competitive loan products, operational support, and the tools needed to help you succeed. Candidates must reside in Ohio, Illinois, Florida, PA or Georgia.

Requirements

Active NMLS License required.
4+ years of mortgage loan origination experience required.
Strong understanding of Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, and Portfolio loan products.
Proven ability to develop and maintain referral relationships.
Excellent sales, communication, and customer service skills.
Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management abilities.

Nice To Haves

Experience with mortgage origination systems and CRM platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

Originate residential purchase mortgage loans.
Build and maintain relationships with referral partners and centers of influence.
Educate borrowers on mortgage products and financing options.
Pre-qualify and pre-approve prospective homebuyers.
Guide borrowers through the mortgage process from application to closing.
Collaborate with processors, underwriters, and closing teams to ensure a smooth customer experience.
Manage and maintain a healthy loan pipeline.
Deliver exceptional customer service and communication throughout the loan process.
Stay current on mortgage products, market trends, and lending regulations.
