About The Position

CMG Home Loans is seeking an experienced Mortgage Closer with a strong background in Texas loans. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of the loan closing process, including assembling, preparing, and verifying documents to ensure compliance with state, federal, and regulatory requirements. The Closer will maintain up-to-date knowledge of policies and procedures related to funding, insuring, and post-closing, prepare daily reports, monitor workflow, and interface with various teams to ensure the quality of funding packages. Key responsibilities include drawing loan documents, funding or shipping loans, preparing Closing Disclosures with a working knowledge of TRID, and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely loan closings. The role also involves drawing mortgage closing documents for both wet and dry state loans and consistently meeting production and quality standards.

Requirements

3+ years of Retail closing experience.
Familiarity with reading and interpreting insurance policies, title reports, appraisals and settlement statements.
Strong knowledge of mortgage banking industry.
Working knowledge of industry regulations.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook systems.
Ability to work in a fast paced, fluid environment.
Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Proven leadership skills with ability to motivate subordinates.
High level of integrity and confidentiality required.
Strong experience working with Texas loans.

Nice To Haves

Experience with BYTE preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain current knowledge of policies and procedures as they relate to documents, funding, insuring, and post-closing requirements.
Prepare/review daily reports and monitor workflow and turn times.
Interface with warehouse and post-closing teams to ensure quality of funding packages.
Draw loan docs, fund, or ship loans.
Prepare Closing Disclosures with a working knowledge of TRID.
Communicate with Processors, Loan Officers, Escrow Officers and Settlement Agents to keep them updated throughout the closing process and close loans in a timely manner.
Draw mortgage closing documents for wet and dry state loans.
Meet production and quality standards consistently.
