About The Position
Langley Federal Credit Union is seeking a Full-Time Mortgage Loan Closer to work a hybrid schedule from their Oyster Point Office in Newport News, VA. This role involves closing and funding first mortgage loans, coordinating with closing agents, attorneys, and members, and ensuring all documentation meets TRID, investor, and policy requirements. The position also involves balancing general ledger accounts related to mortgage transaction production reports.
Requirements
- Two years of real estate loan closing experience or equivalent working experience and training are required.
- Knowledge of TRID, CFBP, Regulation Z, and RESPA guidelines preferred.
Responsibilities
- Closes and funds all first mortgage loans.
- Coordinates all aspects of the closing process and ensures that all terms of the sale are met.
- Prepares closing packages accurately and meets compliance requirements for individual loan types in accordance with the credit union and investor guidelines and secondary marketing requirements.
- Assembles, balances, and prepares final documentation while working with settlement agents.
- Balances related GLs, maintains closed files, and produces.
- Submits wire request for mortgage funding.
- Manages pipeline and lock expirations.
