About The Position

The Mortgage Loan Closer performs full-service mortgage loan closing duties. This role involves accurately preparing closing document packages to meet all underwriting, investor, and compliance requirements. The Closer ensures all title objections are addressed and satisfied prior to or at closing, and maintains timely and effective communication with all parties involved in the transaction. They coordinate the timing of closings with the banker, ensuring contract dates and/or lock expirations are met. Additionally, the Closer verifies that all check and general ledger entries are set up correctly for accurate accounting records and prioritizes workload to maximize efficiency and production. This role also includes assisting with other duties as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• One to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, DU, DO, LP, origination software, and basic internet skills.
• Professional communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to work independently.
• Desire to learn and contribute.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
