About The Position

MCAN is seeking a detailed-oriented Mortgage Fulfillment Officer to join their Residential Lending team. This is a contractual role for 6 months, supporting evolving business needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in mortgage administration, strong relationship-building skills, and a team-player attitude. This role is crucial for reviewing mortgage documentation prior to funding residential mortgage deals, ensuring accuracy and compliance while maintaining positive relationships with brokers and customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field.
• 2-3 years working in mortgage administration.
• Ability to manage risk and compliance and demonstrate the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct in accordance with MCAN’s policies, guidelines and directions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Work well in a team and have confidence dealing with people and addressing issues.
• Sound problem-solving skills.
• Concise attention to detail and the tenacity to complete the task properly.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of efficient, professional, and courteous service to MCAN’s customers and Brokers.
• Build strong internal working relationships.
• Follow up with mortgage brokers/customers for outstanding documents.
• Ensure each document is reviewed, complete and accurate.
• Meet and maintain a set compliance ratio on monthly audits.
• Complete all paperwork, compliance, customer service and follow-up tasks in a timely manner, and send completed file to Quality Control and our Closing Officer, on time, for funding.
