About The Position

GIS Field Services, Inc., with over 20 years in the mortgage field inspection industry and based in Dallas, TX, is seeking Mortgage Occupancy Field Inspectors to conduct residential property inspections for mortgage lenders. Independent contractors benefit from a flexible schedule and weekly pay. The role involves verifying property occupancy, reporting general property conditions, delivering/posting letters, conducting vacant interior walk-throughs, and providing insurance repair progress reports. Most inspections are exterior, with some requiring door-knocking or letter delivery. Interior access to secured/vacant properties and appointment-based insurance loss inspections will also be necessary.

Requirements

Must be able to spend extended periods of time driving.
Efficient time management for routing and completing inspections within an estimated 3-5 day turnaround time (variable).
Must complete a background check using a valid driver's license to obtain a Shield ID (Aspen Grove ABC#).
Must have a computer and internet connection.
Must have a vehicle with good gas mileage.
Must have an iPhone or Android device.
Must have a printer.
Must have a Volt Stick Set of 11 Hud Keys (Inspector Keys).
Must have daylight availability.
Must have office supplies (paper, envelopes, ink).

Responsibilities

Perform residential property inspections.
Verify property occupancy.
Report general property conditions.
Conduct letter delivery/posting.
Perform vacant interior walk-throughs.
Provide insurance repair progress reports.
Determine occupancy based on industry standards.
Obtain all photographs, comments, and form documentation using the InspectorADE mobile app.
Communicate consistently with the inspection manager via text, email, and phone.
