About The Position

The Mortgage Closing & Servicing Analyst is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the quality of mortgage loan files both first mortgage and home equity loans, ensuring accuracy of the HMDA database, and other loan servicing related duties. In general, this position provides support needed to promote quality service, efficient processes and procedures, and a quality loan portfolio.

Requirements

• Exhibit an understanding of mortgage lending procedures and mortgage related federal regulations and compliance issues to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• To maintain, create, and revise procedures as necessary.
• To assist with improving the efficiency and effectiveness of all related processes.
• To provide informed, professional, and accurate service and support to all members and employees.
• Participate in continuing education and training events.
• Ability to work well with other people.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a quality mortgage loan portfolio through effective post-closing procedures, quality control, and efficient monitoring and documentation procedures.
• Responsible for follow-up on outstanding post-closing items from attorneys on first mortgage loans and HELOCs
• Ensure title & insurance documents are accurate and complete for first mortgages and HELOCs
• Complete the boarding forms and check processing for all in-house first mortgage closings
• Responsible for completing the new loan interface spreadsheet accurately and submitting to our third-party subservicing company
• Back-up for creating and sending out proper loan disclosure documentation on new loan applications provided by mortgage loan originators within regulatory time requirements
• Maintain knowledge of and comply with all BSA related regulations and internal policies and procedures.
• Coordinates with 3rd party mortgage servicer on servicing related items
• Other duties as assigned
