About The Position

This role involves closing first mortgage loans in accordance with applicable federal/state laws and the credit union's policies and procedures. The Mortgage Closer will prepare mortgage packages for delivery to settlement companies for closing conventional, VA, and FHA mortgage products. Responsibilities include coordinating the closing and funding of assigned loan packages, authorizing the release of closing packages to the closing agent, and ensuring all credit, underwriting, and property conditions are met before closing.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED required
2-3 years of recent strong administrative work experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data entry
Must be able to work independently
Must have high speed internet to work hybrid (fiber or cable service)

Nice To Haves

Prior banking or experience working in real estate or for a financial institution is preferred

Responsibilities

Close first mortgage loans in accordance with applicable federal/state laws as well as the credit unions' policies and procedures.
Prepare mortgage packages for delivery to settlement companies for purposes of closing on conventional, Veteran's Administration (VA) and Federal Housing Administration (FHA) mortgage products.
Coordinate the closing and funding of assigned loan packages.
Authorize release of closing packages to closing agent.
Ensure credit, underwriting and property conditions have been satisfied prior to closing.
