About The Position

The Mortgage Closer is responsible for supporting the Closing function across multiple channels, ensuring mortgage loans close accurately and on time. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external partners while delivering exceptional customer service.

Requirements

Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience
Mortgage industry experience required; closing experience preferred
Understanding of investor requirements, regulatory standards, and closing processes
Knowledge of TRID regulations strongly preferred
Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time‑management skills
Passion for helping customers achieve their financial and homeownership goals

Nice To Haves

Encompass (preferred)
Previous loan closing and funding experience
Candidates with Title or Title Insurance experience will be considered
Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements
Ability to work efficiently in a deadline‑driven environment

Responsibilities

Prepare and review closing documents, including balancing Initial and Final Closing Disclosures
Ensure accuracy and compliance while maintaining a high level of customer service
Actively engage with internal departments and external parties to facilitate timely loan closings
Handle routine customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat
Execute daily work queues, identifying and escalating issues when necessary
Support funding and loan closing activities as assigned
