About The Position

First State Bank is seeking a Mortgage Closer onsite at our Chesterfield office. If you have closing experience then you may be a great fit! This is a full-time position with 40 hours per week, and full-time benefits will apply.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
One to two years related experience and/or training required.
Must complete a background check and drug testing as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

Perform all duties required of a Mortgage Closer by following policies and procedures set forth by First State Bank.
Accurate and complete closing and funding of mortgage loans, including conventional, government, home equity, MHDC, USDA and portfolio loan types.
Receive file from Mortgage Loan Specialist, review it to ensure necessary documents are present for closing and review the loan origination system for data integrity.
Maintain open communication with Loan Officers and title companies.
Prepare loan figures and send to Title Company.
Send final CD to Loan Officers for approval after it is returned and entered into the system.
Prepare mortgage closing documents for borrower execution.
Ensure all loans are closed in a timely manner and documentation is true and accurate.
Obtain required documentation from the Underwriting department to satisfy conditions for closing.
Exchange funding documents with Title Company after closing and completion of necessary signed documents.
Balance the file in preparation for disbursement of checks and/or wires.
Prepare the loan file for recording.
Ensure all documents needed for the investor are in the closing file and turned over to the Post-Closing department.
Assist the Post Closing department in obtaining any additional documents needed by the investor after closing.
Complete all required compliance training and comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering Act, as well as all applicable regulations.
