Junior Loan Officers will be responsible for soliciting existing Portfolio customers to sell a range of mortgage products in order to meet individual sales goals, company retention goals, and most importantly meet the needs of the Homeowner. Requirements

  • College Degree, High School Diploma, GED or military experience equivalent
  • Ability to obtain industry required licensing and continued education (company sponsored)
  • Ability to maintain annually all federal and state licensing requirements (This includes background and credit checks annually)
  • Customer service driven; responsive to client issues and concerns
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others in a professional manner
  • Flexibility in schedule to accommodate morning /evening shifts as well as Weekends
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Soliciting existing Portfolio customers to sell a range of mortgage products.
  • Meeting individual sales goals and company retention goals.
  • Meeting the needs of the Homeowner.
  • Handling inbound and outbound leads provided by the company from existing clients.
  • Completing mortgage applications for qualified clients.
  • Communicating and setting proper expectations with the client from the start of the transaction.
  • Qualifying clients for new mortgage loans using automated underwriting systems (DU/LP).
  • Delivering mortgage options to customers in one call to move forward with PHH Mortgage as their preferred lender.
  • Collecting pertinent information/documents from clients to begin processing.
  • Sending all required paperwork to clients and providing excellent customer service.
  • Adhering to all regulatory mortgage compliance guidelines.
  • Partnering with internal operations to consistently produce clean files and successfully complete transactions.
  • Inputting transactions into PHH Mortgage’s lead management system.
  • Communicating effectively with all parties to the transaction.
  • Offering excellent customer service to all borrowers.
  • Structuring business day to ensure a balance of taking inbound leads and making follow-up contact with the current sales pipeline to consistently meet minimum performance standards.
  • Attending all trainings, sales meetings, and orientations as directed.
  • Increasing knowledge of the mortgage industry by completing all internal trainings timely.
  • Ability to use multiple software applications at one time.
