About The Position

This role is for a Mortgage Agent/Broker in Ontario, operating fully remotely within Canada. The position offers a competitive commission structure with uncapped earning potential, aiming for a 50-100% income growth. The core of the role is to leverage technology to automate administrative tasks, eliminate the need for underwriting, and receive dedicated support, allowing the agent to focus on client relationships and closing deals. Perch is an award-winning mortgage brokerage founded in 2018, based in Toronto, that assists homeowners across Canada with their mortgage needs, from pre-approvals to renewals.

Requirements

  • Originated at least $10M in mortgages in the last 12 months.
  • Demonstrated ability to self-generate most or all leads.
  • Minimum of 2 years of continuous experience as a licensed Mortgage Agent/Broker or as a Mortgage Advisor at a bank or credit union.

Responsibilities

  • Automate 70% of workflow.
  • Eliminate underwriting through a proprietary auto-adjudication engine.
  • Nurture client pipeline and identify new opportunities.
  • Guide clients step-by-step through their application.
  • Integrate Equifax soft credit checks.
  • Automatically request the correct documents from clients.
  • Handle compliance and FINTRAC reporting.
  • Manage client intake, document gathering, and appraisal bookings with in-house support.
  • Keep referral partners informed with automatic status updates.
  • Focus on building relationships and closing deals.
