About The Position

Chelan High School has an opening for a Weight Room Supervisor for the morning weights program for the Fall semester. This position is available immediately through January 29, 2027. The role requires a passionate coach committed to enhancing educational opportunities for students through athletics, while promoting the Chelan Athletic Department core values: passion, integrity, growth mindset, and accountability. The salary is $3049 per semester, based on prior, documented, school district experience in the same sport. Coaches are responsible for assisting in a program that is organized, well prepared, and operated with integrity. Coaches should use athletics to teach valuable life skills and provide an exceptional educational experience for the student-athletes. The role involves developing and maintaining positive relationships with student-athletes and serving as a quality role model for mentorship, always prioritizing student-athletes’ needs. A commitment to promoting the vision, values, and mission of the school district and athletic department, including improving athletic performance, reducing athletic injuries, and teaching lifelong fitness and movement skills, is essential.

Requirements

  • Prior coaching and/or playing experience in the sport.
  • A background and/or experience in Physical and/or Personal Fitness and Training is required.
  • Proven ability to coach at the high school level.
  • Willingness to work with staff.
  • Valid first aid and CPR card, or willingness to obtain upon hiring.
  • FBI, Washington State Patrol and Sexual Misconduct background clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience coaching young adults is preferred.
