About The Position

WPHL-TV is looking for Fall Interns! Students will have an opportunity to gain a wide range of hands-on experience while interning in the morning news department. Interns work closely with producers, anchors and reporters both in-house and out in the field.

Requirements

Currently enrolled and taking classes at a college/university.
Must be in their junior or senior year of study.
Reliable transportation is a must.

Interest in learning more about directing and producing.
Interest in on-air opportunities.

Responsibilities

Research and write stories for the morning broadcast.
Contact sources for additional information.
Edit video using Adobe Premiere.
Post on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter during the show.
Manage guests before, during and after their segments.
Learn how camera equipment works and what camera shots matter.
Learn how reporters gather new information to differentiate live shots.
Function as field producers by coordinating interviews and attending press conferences.
Shadow producers in the control room.
Potentially produce a portion of the show.
Craft a reel with the help of anchors and reporters.
