About The Position

Requirements

  • Montessori certification 3-6 years-old (AMS, AMI, MACTE, or equivalent) or willing to obtain
  • Bachelors Degree in education or related field
  • Experience working with children
  • Associate in early childhood, education or related field preferred
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred

  • Experience in Montessori Years Group
  • Experience creating and maintaining a prepared Montessori classroom environment
  • Experience facilitating project-based, inquiry-driven, or experiential learning opportunities
  • Experience collaborating with families, educational teams, and support staff

Responsibilities

  • Teach students using Montessori methods, cultivating an independent, student-centered learning environment supported by thoughtfully prepared materials tailored to each developmental stage.
  • Encourage curiosity, intrinsic motivation, and self-directed exploration.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with the school’s Montessori-based curriculum.
  • Ensure instruction is intentional, differentiated, and responsive to individual student needs and learning styles.
  • Collaborate effectively with instructional staff, school personnel, and families to strengthen student outcomes and support the achievement of classroom and school-wide goals aligned to the mission and vision.
  • Participate actively in meetings, professional learning communities, and ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance instructional practices and improve student achievement.
  • Maintain accurate, thorough, and up-to-date records of student progress, development, and performance to inform instruction and support meaningful communication with stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the broader school community by participating in extracurricular and school-sponsored events such as open houses, graduations, family engagement activities, and PTO functions.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture that supports students’ academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Uphold professional standards through strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility, professionalism, and dedication to the overall success of the school.
