About The Position

Montessori School of Silicon Valley (MSOSV) is seeking caring, motivated individuals to join their team as a Montessori Preschool Assistant Teacher for children aged 3-6. This role is ideal for those passionate about early childhood education and interested in building a long-term career in authentic Montessori education. The position offers the opportunity to learn from experienced mentors, make a meaningful difference in children's lives, and develop the skills necessary to become a Montessori Lead Guide. Requirements

• At least 12 ECE units (or willingness to complete them).
• A passion for early childhood education.
• An interest in learning authentic Montessori philosophy and practices.
• A desire to pursue Montessori certification and eventually become a Lead Guide.
• Strong organizational skills and a positive, dependable attitude.
• Patience, warmth, and a genuine love for helping children thrive.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with children ages 3–6.
• Montessori experience is welcome but not required.
• Individuals who are eager to learn, committed to growth, and excited to become part of our school community.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Guide in creating a calm, beautiful, and engaging Montessori classroom.
• Help children develop independence, concentration, confidence, and social skills.
• Assist with classroom preparation, organization, and daily routines.
• Observe children's growth and celebrate their accomplishments.
• Model patience, respect, and grace and courtesy throughout the day.
• Partner with the classroom team to provide a consistent, nurturing learning environment.
• Gradually take on increased responsibilities to grow professionally and explore the path toward becoming a Lead Guide.
