About The Position
Desert Hills Elementary is seeking a Monolingual Elementary Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This position involves instructing students and managing their behavior, requiring strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. The teacher will be responsible for knowledge of the core academic subject assigned and curriculum and instruction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- At least one year student teaching or approved internship
- Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
- Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Copy of College/University transcript with applicable degree posted
- Copy of Texas teaching certificate with required endorsement (Or) Copy of letter of acceptance from alternative certification program (if applicable)
- Copy of Content Exam scores
- Copy of driver's license
- Current resume
